CryoPen Treatment

At Honey Aesthetics, we offer CryoPen treatment — a quick, safe, and usually painless way to remove unwanted skin lesions with minimal downtime. The CryoPen uses a precise jet of nitrous oxide at –89°C to freeze and destroy only the targeted tissue, leaving the surrounding healthy skin untouched.

What Can CryoPen Treat?

CryoPen can effectively remove a wide range of benign (non-cancerous) skin lesions, including:
• Skin tags
• Warts and verrucae
• Age spots / sun spots (solar lentigines)
• Seborrhoeic keratoses
• Cherry angiomas (red moles)
• Pigmentation spots
• Milia

If you’re unsure whether your lesion is suitable for CryoPen, a full consultation will be carried out to assess your skin and ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for you.

How CryoPen Works

CryoPen works by delivering a focused micro-jet of nitrous oxide gas at –89°C directly to the treatment area. The extreme cold freezes the targeted cells, destroying the unwanted tissue while keeping the surrounding skin intact. The treated area then naturally sheds over the following days to reveal fresh, healthy skin underneath. Each lesion takes just a few seconds to treat, making CryoPen one of the fastest and most precise skin lesion removal options available.

Aftercare

Following your CryoPen treatment at Honey Aesthetics, the treated area may appear slightly red or swollen and may form a small scab or blister. This is a normal part of the healing process. Keep the area clean, dry, and protected from sun exposure until it has healed completely. Avoid touching, picking, or applying makeup to the area until any scab has naturally fallen away. Full aftercare instructions will be provided at your appointment to ensure the best possible results.

CryoPen treatment is usually painless. Most clients describe a brief cold or tingling sensation — similar to holding an ice cube on the skin — that lasts only a few seconds.

FAQ's

Each lesion typically takes between 5–30 seconds to treat. The full appointment, including consultation, usually takes around 15–20 minutes

How long does the treatment take?

Many lesions clear after just one treatment, although some may need a second session after 4–6 weeks for complete removal.

How many treatments will I need?

The treated area may appear red or slightly darker and may form a small scab or crust, which will naturally flake off within 1–2 weeks to reveal new, healthy skin.

What will my skin look like afterwards?

There’s minimal downtime. You can return to normal daily activities straight away, but it’s best to avoid heavy exercise, saunas, and sun exposure for the first 24 hours.

Is there any downtime?

Yes — CryoPen is safe for most skin types. Your skin will be assessed during your consultation to ensure the treatment is suitable for you.

Is CryoPen suitable for all skin types?

No. CryoPen is only suitable for benign (non-cancerous) lesions. Any mole or lesion that looks irregular or has changed over time should be checked by your GP or dermatologist before treatment.
